COMMITTEES
Committees ensure that the mission of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers Memphis advances. Below is a brief description of each of the available committees.
Events
- Plan and organize events to promote NAREB’s mission.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue, catering, and equipment.
- Develop schedules and timelines for event activities.
- Collaborate with other committees to ensure event alignment with overall goals.
- Promote events through social media and community outreach.
Political Action
- Monitor local and national legislation affecting real estate and housing.
- Advocate for policies that support homeownership and equitable housing access.
- Organize meetings with lawmakers and community leaders.
- Educate members about political issues related to real estate.
- Mobilize members to participate in advocacy efforts and campaigns.
Education + Outreach
- Develop educational programs and workshops for members and the community.
- Promote real estate awareness and best practices.
- Identify community needs and tailor outreach efforts accordingly.
- Collaborate with local organizations for joint educational initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and gather feedback for improvements.
Fundraising
- Create and implement fundraising strategies to support NAREB initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and sponsors.
- Organize fundraising events and campaigns.
- Develop promotional materials to communicate fundraising goals.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress to the committee.
Election
- Oversee the election process for NAREB leadership positions.
- Develop election rules and procedures.
- Ensure fair and transparent voting practices.
- Conduct candidate interviews and assessments.
- Communicate election information to members, including timelines and voting methods.
Membership
- Recruit and retain members for NAREB.
- Develop membership benefits and value propositions.
- Create onboarding processes for new members.
- Organize membership drives and engagement activities.
- Gather feedback from members to improve membership experience.
Grievance
- Address member complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
- Develop procedures for filing and reviewing grievances.
- Mediate disputes between members when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the process.
- Provide recommendations for resolutions and improvements.
Marketing + Communitcation
- Create marketing strategies to enhance NAREB’s visibility.
- Manage social media platforms and website content.
- Develop newsletters and other communication materials.
- Promote upcoming events, initiatives, and achievements.
- Collaborate with other committees to ensure messaging consistency.
